I remember a time when I worked in a restaurant, I got to work and realized I had not changed into my slip resistant shoes. This mistake resulted in my slipping and falling flat on my back not just once but three times that night, I went home battered and bruised from head to toe. This is what happens when we are not properly equipped to do our job. This piece (peace) of the armor of God helps us stand firm in life’s storms. God’s peace gives us the strength to endure the trials of life. Before receiving Jesus as our Savior, we were alienated from God, in other words, enemies by our choice. But once we receive Jesus, we are brought back into a relationship with him, therefore at peace and no longer in a war. This alone is worth going out and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and the peace of God with the world!
