What Have You Done for God

Question:     How do I respond when someone says, “What has God ever done for me?”

Answer:          More than you will ever know. I often think the most appropriate response to this comment or question is to turn the question around on the individual. I think whenever someone questions what God has ever done for them, they must consider, WHAT THEY HAVE DONE FOR GOD…

When God wakes us up daily, he has given us another day and another opportunity to do good works for him. God created each of us to do good works for him.

He gave each of us life as the bible tells says, “You knitted me together in my mother’s womb.”

God gave us the breath of life. For every day that you have breath, that breath is symbolic of God’s spirit with you!

God sent his only Son, Jesus, to be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins when he suffered and died on the cross. Jesus, God in the flesh, took on the punishment that we all deserved. This is the ultimate gift of God.

All these wonderful things God has done for us; so, we must ask ourselves, “What have we done for God?”

God’s Word  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Psalms 139: 13-14 13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.

Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. Genesis 2:7

“The Spirit of God has made me, And the breath of the Almighty gives me life. Job 33:4

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10.

What Does it Mean to be Saved

Question:          What does it mean to be saved?

Answer:              The act of accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior by a prayer asking Jesus into your heart.

God’s Word:    “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 KJV

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23-24 NIV

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 NKJV

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 NIV

The Sinners Prayer

Lord, I need you. I have tried living my life my way, but I am lost.

I accept you are the way, the truth, and the life.

I believe Jesus Christ is the son God, was flesh and blood and walked this earth.

I believe he made the ultimate sacrifice and died for me, so I do not have to pay the price.

I believe on the third day he rose again and sits at the right hand of the father; giving me eternal life.

Lord, I ask you to come into my heart and to be the Lord and Savior of my life. “Come as you are; Let the carpenter do the rebuilding”

What is Salvation

Question:            What is salvation?

Answer: The faith that you are saved through the sacrifice of the blood of Christ Jesus and under God’s protection. The redemption from sin because of the act of getting saved. The process of being restored or made new by the act of becoming saved; the process of being transformed both inside and out in Christ.

God’s Word: “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved” Acts 4:12 NIV

Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him. Psalms 62:1 NIV

Question:            What is condemnation?

Answer:               Conviction is Godly sorrow. It’s what leads to repentance. Through repentance we obtain a clear conscience and can live an honorable life. Conviction shows you the answer. Conviction tells you “Come to Me and I’ll forgive you.”

God’s Word:      Acts 24:16 “This being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.”

Hebrews 13:18 “Pray for us; we are convinced that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way.”

Question:            What is conviction?

Answer: Condemnation is from Satan and is meant to tear you down. It continually points out your failures and how badly you’ve messed up. Condemnation shows you the problem without a solution. God’s Word:There is, therefore, now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.  For what the law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did; sending

His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh.  Romans 8:1-3
